Role Overview
As a New Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, approaching, and securing new business opportunities within high-value industry verticals, such as payroll providers, financial services, e-commerce, and corporate treasury teams.
You will drive lead generation, sales engagement, and deal closure, working closely with the Marketing, Partnerships, and Product teams to develop a targeted sales approach. This role is perfect for a results-driven, strategic salesperson with a strong background in B2B financial services, foreign exchange, or payments.
Key Responsibilities
- Industry Targeting & Lead Generation – Identify and target key industry verticals, using market insights to drive lead generation and business opportunities.
- Outbound Sales & Business Development – Proactively engage with senior decision-makers, build strong relationships, and position Frontier Pay’s payment solutions as the preferred choice.
- Sales Strategy Execution – Develop and implement tailored sales strategies to win new clients in high-growth sectors.
- Consultative Selling & Deal Closure – Understand client needs, demonstrate the value of Frontier Pay’s solutions, and successfully negotiate and close deals.
- Collaboration & Growth – Work closely with Marketing, Partnerships, and Product teams to develop effective go-to-market strategies.
- Performance Tracking – Monitor sales targets, report on progress, and optimize strategies to maximize revenue growth.
Qualifications
Essential Experience:
- Proven track record in new business development and B2B sales within the global payments, foreign exchange, payroll payments, or treasury management industry.
- Experience selling payment, FX, or treasury solutions to businesses in key industry verticals (e.g., payroll providers, financial services, e-commerce, or multinational corporations).
- Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to identify client pain points and offer tailored payment solutions.
- Demonstrated success inbuilding and managing a pipeline, driving deals from lead generation to closure.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
Education & Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong commercial acumen – ability to drive revenue and achieve sales targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Data-driven approach – ability to track sales performance and optimize strategies.
